In December 2002, Tony Benn had a live debate held at the Royal Festival Hall with rhe Conservative
MP David Davis who went on to stand for the Tory leadership. You can hear this debate . You'll
need Real Player and it can take a while to download. Very interesting though.
15th February 2003. A discussion, with William Hague, before the second Gulf war on the merits of
going to war against Iraq. The sound is a bit shaky but again, very interesting. Hague puts the pro
war point of view. You'll need windows media player.
10th September 2003. The Radio 4Today programme held a short discussion on the role of peasants
as a political force. Mr Benn took part in the discussion along with historian Justin Champion. You'll
need Real Player, it can take a while to load.
This is the speech from the anti-war rally in 2003. It is actually the speech on the last track of the
'Greatest Hits' CD but without the backing music. The sound quality is not great but you can just
about hear the speech. There is a review of the CD, in the reviews section of the site.
The Today programme had a discussion on the perfect cup of tea. They can't be a bigger expert on
that than Mr Benn. You'll need Real Player.
